Autumn Boltrig Carp: The Gold Scaled ABC’s – Uncut Angling – October 18, 2013

Carping enthusiast, Ryan Ginter teaches the fundamentals to a fall shore fishing attack on pig Common Carp. Many of the techniques are “Euro-inspired”, and adapted to fishing here in the Midwest. Many large golden specimens cohost briefly.

Another big carp welcome to uncut angling.

Weave today we’ve got Ryan Ginter on the show and this is what we’re fishing for which is not what you’d expect to be fishing for in October. Giant park look at that big fatty get that hook out got a little bit of corn in the mouth here we’re gonna get this fish right back in the water.

We are pretty late in the season to be carpfishing but we’re on a pray reservoir and that’s exactly what we’re doing today in spring we’re up in the shallows. We love the shallow water the muck and fall we’re looking for these deep water basins so these deep holding areas we’re fishing this shelf it goes deeper about 3035 feet.

You’re just looking for this nice gradual slope. These nice areas to present your bait. Today we’re going to fish in about 15 feet of water. I put bait out yesterday we’re going to put a little bit more bait out and we’re going to get fishing and when he says he puts bait out the term for that is chumming Chum. It up there’s a little fishing term for you that’s putting bait out in advance to stir the fish up get them on to the area that you’re fishing.

Which Ryan is quite active in doing that right now you have a special apparatus? You want to show us for chumming a little bit farther offshore this is the deal this is the bait a missile they call a spod.

Okay and we’ll rip it up with some corn and this is this tool works as we whip it out there.
