Fly Fishing Summer Time Riffle Water

FLY FISHING SUMMER TIME WATER – PART 1 RIFFLES

During the summer time, it’s important to focus on the right kind of water to find more trout. When summer temps heat up, fish move into faster water for more oxygen and food. Riffles are the perfect spot to locate trout because they supply the oxygen, food, and protection fish need as river levels drop.

In part 1 of this two part series, I identify riffle water and how to properly present your flies when fishing these situations.

This should help if you are new to fly fishing or are struggling to locate trout in rivers when summer time temps heat up.

Thanks for watching!
