Fly Fishing Spring Creek (Centre Co. PA)

With cold winter weather and low water limiting fishing opportunities throughout most of the state, my first fishing trip in a while led me to one of our best Wild Brown Trout Fisheries in the state – Spring Creek.

Although dozens of streams claim this name, the most popular and productive is Spring Creek in State College PA. Despite cold morning conditions, I managed a few Brownies on my Fly Fishing Rod (still learning) and then some more on my spinning rod – barbless hooks (relax guys…).

Not a bad little morning, cannot wait until Spring. More to come.
