FISHING EXPERIMENT: Best Winter Bait??? (Lures vs. Minnows vs. Worms)

Winter fishing experiment to determine which bait is most effective for catching fish in freezing conditions!

With ice covering most of the river leaving only a small section of fishable water, I test out lures vs. minnows vs. nightcrawlers vs. mealworms to see which bait can catch fish during this trick time of year!

Primary Pattern: Floating shiners in upper creek arms
Time Fished: 8:30 am – 12:00 pm Air Temp: High of 27 degrees, low of 23 degrees
Water Temp: 37 degrees Water Clarity: 24 inches
Conditions: Cloudy with winds North up to 9 mph
