Bass Fishing Patterns for Late Summer and Fall

In this atypical bass fishing breakdown, we look at working deep and shallow periodically, reading visible fish, and changing as the fishing changes throughout a day where more smaller fish showed up shallow and the better fish moved off the banks and into deeper cover.

We thought the fish would be deep. They were actually shallow. Then a deeper patterned emerged later. This has been one of the warmest falls on record around much of the country which has delayed a lot of normal fall patterns and made for a lot different bass fishing.

We talk about how it sometimes takes a bit of a process to figure out how to catch the better quality and how that can change throughout the day. Also how preconceived notions about seasons can be completely right and completely wrong.
