Winter Fishing in Florida

After months of no deep sea fishing, Brother Gary offered to take Big John and I out for some Winter deep sea fishing. It was one of those few calm and warm days we occasionally get here in Florida.

While out about 18 miles, we were visited by the Florida Wildlife Commission and they found NO violations and upon departing, thanked us for obeying the law. In the 5 hours we had our lines in the water while visiting 4 different areas, we caught maybe a dozen Vermilion, a couple Trigger fish, maybe 5 or keeper Lane Snapper and all together 25 or 30 Red Snapper.

We all came home tired and well satisfied for a glorious day of intense fishing off of Florida’s beautiful coast.
