Winter Fishing a FLOODED River — GIANT MUSKIE on 3rd Cast!!!

INSANE DAY FISHING A SUPER FLOODED RIVER!

I drove out to the Susquehanna River anticipating a slow, relaxing day of fishing for bronzies. When I arrived, the river was RAGING, the color of chocolate milk, and 7 feet higher than normal.

Immediately I considered changing locations, but boy am I glad I didn’t… because I hooked into a fish of a lifetime!

Location: Susquehanna River in Pennsylvania
Date: January 2nd, 2019
Primary Pattern: Slow rolling a spinnerbait around flooded wood
Time Fished: 7:30 am – 3:30 pm Air Temp: 44 degrees
Water Temp: 45 degrees
Water Clarity: 4 – 6 inches
Conditions: Flooded & cloudy with winds from the SW up to 5 mph
