Trout fishing in autumn with spinners

Trout fishing in autumn can be a bit hit and miss.

Some days they are very aggressive, or hungry, and other days the trout just do not want to play the game.

Yesterday we had an awesome day. Brett Corker and I walked up one of my favorite little creeks for a few hours laughing and catching trout. We did not catch anything for the first couple of hours.

This could be attributed to the fact that we were fishing in water that we have not fished for many years. We were exploring, which can bring fishing success and fishing failure. After the slow start we headed to a different part of the trout stream where we founf fish.

We found plenty of active trout willing to hit our lures. Trout fishing in autumn is awesome fun, even when the fish are not biting.

Autumn is the best time of the year to go trout fishing. The weather is fantastic, the autumn colours are very uplifting and the fishing can be really great as it was yesterday.
