100 Winter Stripers on an ice fishing rod!

We caught about 200 Stripers in all. We were out all day, here are clips from the trip. Don’t miss the big fish Including epic Drone footage!

The date was the 20th of January, ignore the time stamp.

Big Matt fishes the Housatonic River often for winter stripers. We mainly use jig heads with a Zoom Super Fluke but other lures work well too. If they don’t hit the jigs for awhile we toss an Alabama Rig not our lure of choice but it usually stirs them up and produces immediate action on winter stripers that don’t want to bite.

I brought the Ice fishing rod on a whim, just to catch one striper with but the thought of getting a big winter striper kept me using it all day! I was killing it on a Binsky Blade Bait. What I film with…
